Playful Workshops

Faye has over eight years experience delivering a range of dance, movement and theatre workshops and projects for children and other adults. Faye uses this experience and knowledge to provide new and appropriate challenges for all participants she works with.

Faye believes in unlocking the creativity inside everyone she works with. Through playful investigations she collaborates with each participant to allow educational discoveries to be made. Faye values each participant’s input and works responsively to give all an individual voice and means of expression.

Faye explains “I believe in providing varied and surprising opportunities to allow children to question and wonder. I open up dialogues with children, staff and the school as a whole, creating interaction and interplay. I always strive for a legacy to remain long after my involvement has ended. I place a great importance on partnership working, staff training and joint planning. I see a child as part of a family and ultimately that family as part of a community. I seek out opportunities to work with children in a wider context to ensure a lasting impact is made not only on the child but also on their surrounding adults. I always aim to raise the aspirations of participants I engage with. I believe in providing creative and artistic opportunities that allow children varied and rich approaches to learning. I want to provide opportunities to play, move, roll, giggle and take risks.”

Faye has detailed knowledge, experience and a passion for designing, as well as delivering, unique and exciting projects that engage children, young people and adults in a participatory way. She has been working in schools and educational settings including special schools, children centres and foundation units over the past eight years. During this time, Faye has developed an in depth understanding of the demands on schools and their staff. She plans and delivers work in a flexible way to ensure ownership is felt by everyone. In schools Faye has detailed experience of facilitating meaningful projects that allow children to achieve their full potential as learners and creators.
